Ontario Landscaper Directory lists 200 landscaper businesses across Ontario, built for homeowners and property managers who need someone reliable for lawn care, snow clearing, or a backyard rebuild. Instead of sorting through scattered ads and self-written claims, you get a working list of contractors with a public record behind each one.

The directory is published by Ontario Landscaper, which has run this resource since 2026. The idea behind it is simple: when you’re hiring someone to work on your property, you should be able to see what the public record actually says about them, not just what their website says about themselves. Where the listing data comes from

Every profile is built from two sources: public business records (things like registration details, service areas, and contact information) and a synthesis of recent Google reviews. We don’t copy or republish review text. Instead, we summarize what the pattern of recent feedback says, then link out to the business’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself and form your own view.

Because the underlying data changes constantly, we refresh the full database monthly. Each listing also carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see exactly when that page was last checked against current sources, rather than relying on a directory that was accurate once and never touched again.

How rankings get earned

Rankings come from a published rubric applied to the data we collect: nothing more, nothing less. There’s no pay-for-placement option that moves a business up the list. You can see the full scoring approach on our methodology page.

A listed business can log in and correct its own factual details (address, hours, services offered, that kind of thing). What it cannot do is edit its own score, its sentiment summary, or its position in the rankings. Those stay tied to the data and the rubric, not to who’s asking.

Sponsorship and enquiries

Some pages carry a “Sponsored” section. It’s always labelled as such, shown separately from the earned ranking, and never changes a business’s score or position. Sponsored placement buys visibility, not a better rank.

Separately, Ontario Landscaper Directory generates enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with a contractor, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for doing so. That arrangement is disclosed again on the quote page itself, and it never touches how a business scores or ranks here.
